Spring U18 (Midget): High Performance & Longevity
Targeting: High-speed collisions and chronic wear (Shoulder dislocations, MCL tears, High-ankle sprains, and FAI).
Virtual Introduction: After signing up, players will receive instruction through email, on booking in for a mandatory introduction call with the coaches and physios. This is ran through Country Hills Physiotherapy Via. Jane
Session #1: Awareness and Self-Testing – A breakdown of high-speed injury risks and an introduction to the biomechanics of MCL and ankle stability.
Session #2: Recovery & Maintenance – Advanced "pro-style" recovery: utilizing massage guns, myofascial release, and specific taping techniques for ankle stability.
Session #3: Taking/Giving a Hit – Refining the "active stance" to protect the shoulders and knees during high-velocity contact.
Session #4: Mobility & Flexibility – On-ice/Off-ice session focusing stretching before and after games.
Session #5: Strength for Performance – A workshop on targeted resistance training (Glute Medius and Core) to support joint integrity under heavy loads.
